Joe wasn't being disrespectful- just showing his side.

You asked for options.

I've thrown most of mine in the trash, some in my compost bin, some IN the neighbors car. :grinno:

Yeah I intended absolutely no disrespect. I just don't get too close to my fish, because it is all to easy to have an issue and lose one. I completely respect the OPs view, and I just gave mine. Sorry if it was offensive in some way.

Sorry for your loss. Freezing and burying later would be good. I used to do that in the beginning, but I guess my heart got hardened cause now they go in the garbage. IDK if it was one I had a long time, I'd bury it in the backyard with my cats that I lost this summer. We buried snakey back there

You could bury it and plant a tree over it like the Samoans and hippies do with their placentas. :F

...ohh i might get screamed at for this but...here we go *deep breath*

i agree with most people on here..freeze and dump..its dead

My dog had puppies last year...two were still born to due to a long complicated birth (5 were fine)...when they were born dead i cried for them.. a little puppy i never knew.
I have a back yard but could not dig far enough down to feel comfortable letting my dog out to smell her dead pup in the yard..so i wrapped them up in paper towels..and the sheet they were born on and disposed of them in the trash ..i was sad about it but really some times it gets down to sanitation. the trash goes away.

just my thoughts. i know you can get in allot of trouble for burying dead things in city limits. (if your caught )

Wow that must have been REALLY hard. God Forbid that ever happens again but if it did you can take them to your vet and ask that they dispose of them. They will be cremated. You know, it is really too bad that I am mad at my vet right now and looking for a new one...I have a lead though when I go there I can always ask them....if she is frozen it does not matter when it happens...

I still think throwing it outside for something to eat is the way to go... Skunks dogs cats raccoons... They all would love the nice snack
