I don't have time to follow every single post. Why would you clean your FX5 once a month? Just curious.
Will you be doing your same frequent water changes with this new rhom, or plan on doing things differently this time?

This type of "OCD" maintenance could end up hurting the fish IMO. But maybe I am not fully understanding the situation. F1, what is the intent for your FX5 filter? What type of media are you stocking with? Mech or Bio?
Just slang man, as I mentioned, nothing wrong with it.
Hey, maybe you can build your own drip system some day? You'd just have to spot clean left over food and poo

I feel ya but smoke appatantly thinks he knows whats best for my pets! I guess after a month on mfk u know everything lol....If he would have just read the thread like normal ppl he wouldn't have even had to post, nor would I! No big deal
And yes baller I've been drafting up a eco drip. For water changes my hose hooks to my stand up shower which is 15-20' away, so I was gonna run a T valve and just pipe 1/2" hosing to the tank and let it drip out ithe window which is 1" from my 90gal, just gotta order a float valve!
And I love the look of my new sand! Not as much as the fish do tho!

Dude and how do you conclude that your baby rhom died because it ate a sponge? LOL, that made me LOL hard. Did you cut him open and find a piece of sponge inside him??
