Bowfin! ! ! ! !

Finally, after looking for the past two years, I have purchased a Bowfin!!! 1.5" and expensive as hell! Around $40 for the little bugger!($7.50, but the shipping cost is a lot)
But I'm just that crazy for one.
It will be arriving tomorrow, pics will be posted then.
Any Bowfin owners want to post some pics? Any tips? Growth rate?
As small as it will be, and it isn't a Knife, but it's going to be a )v(onster once it gets bigger.

In the wild bowfin reach adult size (18-24") in 2-4 years. It may grow even faster in captivity with no cold season or lack of food to interfere with growth.

also probaby a good fish to be kept by itself. they are varacious(sp) eaters

See, I was told that it grows quickly to 11-12" in captivity, but then the growth slows down.

I have seen owners keep them with large Cichlids and other fish before.
