not necessarily. especially when you consider they always produce milk in consistent amounts (to the top) and are still in business. considering the standard US 1 gallon milk jugs are exactly the same and hold a few good oz. more than an actual gallon.
they just design the size of the container itself to make sure it wouldn't hurt their profit even if they fill every container to the brim which the brand i buy does.

so I measure 3 diff. milk jugs & lo n behold! one was +3oz, another was +4oz & last one was +6oz! even my mom verified with me!

so again I repeat - this is the only product I venture to guess gives you more than what one was expecting! More Milk!!
