We need to challenge ourselves to branch out in the fish we keep, try new species and new things, there's more to fish than cichlids, and more to Community tanks than central/South American fish, more to African fish than bichirs and syno cats, try new fish, new setups and go beyond what everyone else is doing.

Do you accept the challenge?

Erm. I am branching out from what I have known by starting a chichla tank with flag tail and possibly sd’s. I’m not sure if that is covered in what you are referring to hear but I had never even heard of them before this site. So I feel like I am already branching out....
Maybe...

This is what Wes was getting at in his thread with his latest stock list .

(Fugupuff?)Wes is going to get a lot of business if this challenge becomes a thing lol.
And I will never keep african cichlids, never -_-

Yep,check his thread out. It's quite a read.Whats your beef with African cichlids?

To me almost all african cichlids look like someone photocopied a fish a couple thousand times and then colored them different colors.

I used to catch stickleback as a kid and feed them to my oscars and piranhas. Would love to have a sturgeon some day. Some of those are Sw right?
