Good news! Tank is fully up and running. Both laguna 2k's at full blast. Running 3x100 micron socks to clean whats left from the black diamond sand. 2 jager 300 watt heaters have some catching up to do, current temp is low 60's. Heres the biggest surprise...the tank is almost dead quiet and could handle tons more flow. It was delivered last saturday @1pm and was fully operational by 9pm tonight. Not bad huh? Hopefully saturday I can start slowly transfering my stock :)

New problem! My tank has been running almost 24 hours. It is completely leak free and up to 79 degrees. The returns have an elbow right before the loc line nozzles that has a hole drilled. The hole is at a 45 degree angle in the bend and is meant for a siphon break. well after hours of tinkering today trying to find the source for micro bubbles I discovered the source was that hole. The right side is doing it constantly(really badly) and the left side does a small burst about ever 5 minutes. Both return nozzles are fully submerged, but they also have check valves right after the union joint. I'm planning to turn off 1 pump and silicone the hole on that return and then let it cure for 24 hours. Then repeat with the other pipe. Will this cause any ill effects? Can I truly trust the check valves? Is there another solution? Other than this my tank is functioning perfectly. Any advise guys?

Pics? I think I know what you are talking about but not completely sure. I use pvc returns and cut them halfway thru twice l=l , about a half in. above the bottom of my overflows. I don't use check valves on my returns at all.

Pics will be hard to get. I'll describe it better. The return pipe comes up from the bulkhead. Then makes a 90 degree elbow. The elbow was part of the megaflow kit (made by aqueon) that came with the tank. In the inside of the elbow right in the bend it has a small hole drilled for a siphon break.

Its drilled so it comes out of the bottom of the elbow at a 45 degree angle and sprays the inside edge of the overflow box. if I plug the hole the micro bubbles go awa instantly.

Update. I added my first 2 fish. I got my 14" L001 (Tebow) back from my brother along with my 5" "super red" severum (Gladys). Both are in the tank. Pics in the morning! Still need help with the micro bubbles too...
