Breaking News From China: Increase in Killer Hornets Due to Global Warming

that's too bad, would've been interesting to see what you do with them

If I were to eat insects, I will have to do deep fried, or maybe ground them into something unrecognizable.

I am reminded of when I was a little child at my grandma's by the sea. There always an old lady selling homemade crab sauce. All sorts of tiny crabs grounded and fermented. Good flavor when added to the dishes but don't ask what's in them.

sub species

in japan, the Japanese honey bees has learned how to deal with the hornets to a certain degree. in places where they are introduced, or invade, the honey bee colonies (that have never lived around the hornets and never learned how to defend against them) are doomed. they have zero defense

the giant hornets have been seen here in the states as well

Thanks for clearing that up, i thought they might have been the same with their size and color...

I just read an article saying the increase in numbers is similar to the rise in numbers of yellow jackets here in California. That seems really strange as I feel like I've seen less yellow jackets this year than in previous years.....

^ that's probably the calm before the storm bro

I had a yellow jacket colony in my backyard a couple of years ago. they attacked my landscape guy and my nephew was a victim one time. they died off one winter. they are good pest control but they are nasty little guys man. glad they are gone since I have little kids

there is a wasp nest inside one of our walls which can get really annoying. Every now and then you can here this buzzing sound from them when you're near it.

Nope, never had any problem with them other than the occasional noise

Interesting you or other family mebers havent done something about them even though there has been no problems.Around here people panic over an active hive that could be fifty feet above the ground.
