The convicts breed about once every 2 weeks however ... If you leave the fry in the tank till they are about 1 inch the rate of breeding will slow down. Also If you want a constant supply of feeders one pair is just not practical. You may want to look into breeding worms very easy low maintenance and you can start with more "parents" in a smaller area ... think 500 plus in a 10 gal space....
That's a pretty good Idea, what would be the healthiest for me eel though? From what I have looked up it looks like ghost shrimp is one of the healthiest things I can give my eel
I would never use only one food source for any fish. so to mix in ghost shrimp, and if you keep your convicts breeding some feeder con's and the worms, would be a good start to a healthy food selection.
