Yea, it looks like your tank up and running no matter which way you look at it;)
Could you tell if any of the ghost shrimp were pregnant when you got them? Well please keep me informed, and what temp you running your tank at?

Well, things are going good in the shrimp tank. All five of my shrimp are living and eating. I re-read the thread and have learned alot in the past week. So I think I am all set for now. Thanks Zinq!

No problem! I'm glad to help and happy to answer any other questions you may have along the way. Keep us updated on your progress :D

Nice setup Troy! Expect eggs within a month or so, seeing that the shrimp don't look like they have any "green masses" (pre-eggs) in their heads. It seems to happen when the shrimp aren't fed much and don't have the energy to devote to egg making. Good start!

That reminds me, yah they also like their meaty foods like bloodworms. I feed that on occasion though and my staple is Hikari Crab Cuisine. Another treat I like to give are tiny pieces of garden worms. They go crazy over that. Actually they'll pretty much eat anything, I've fed them adult brine shrimp before and they also like that. But always as a treat only.

i keep ghost shrimp in my pond year round, and the temp varies from 45 in the winter to 82 in the summer, and they have been going strong for 4 years now, i think. Temperature shouldnt be an issue, i dont think ;)

o might i add, i got these shrimps as feeders, im not completley sure if they are ghost shrimp ive been told they are the same thing, any way woke up this morning and everyone is happy and chirpy, o last night i put my turtle tank filter in there for about 20 minutes because when u have a new tank theres no good bacteria or something so i made sure that there was the good and bad in there for them to survive, just a tip:)

They would probably get eaten by the crayfish. My previous experience with crays is that they'll eat whatever they can catch.

update: everything has been going really good. they eat anything i give them. but today i found i lost 2 small shrimp. :( one was blue the other was pink. i dont know what caused it but i hope it doesnt affect the hole tank.
