Breeding Gold Nuggets

Curious if anyone on here has successfully spawned Gold Nuggets. I currently have three L018s around 2.5” so they have some growing to do.

I know that sexing them much less breeding them is pretty tough. Thanks!

Welcome aboard
Unfortunately have little experience with Pleco but hopefully someone will chime in with experience breeding the Gold Nugget Pleco.

Planetcatfish has only 2 breeding reports, but the second looks iffy at best. They are from 2013 and 14.

I think you should build a group of 6-8 so that you have a higher chance of males and females. Make sure you have caves that are nice and snug.

yeah, I’ve seen those. So far my best info has come from contacting folks outside the United States.
