Breeding worms in an aquarium?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a rubbermaid compost bin I use and breed red wigglers. As others posted theyre not aquatic but its a cheap route. I plan on feeding my bluegill tank with them. Plus they eat my kitchen scraps. Ive bred black worms at my old job at a lfs. We kept them in a small plastic container in the fridge and changed the water every day. Then we used a turkey baister to feed the fish.

I thought about the fridge method but they slowly die that way. They may also be losing their nutritional value and die off rather fast.

There's a video of mine going for NLS pellets :grinyes:
