yes it could be a vatf or fatf but not a brevis

there is only one inside , will love to see a comparison pic between vatf and fatf ,quite hard to tell apart

Yea it definitely is not a vittatus I am 100% sure. As far as brevis vs forskahlii I cant be 100% sure. I did a substantial amount of research online this past year trying to get a positive ID on him and my best guess was brevis from looking at pictures. Comparing jaw structure, shape, coloration, etc and the size of the eye in relation to his head/body was one noticeable thing that made me lean toward brevis.

There is so much mis information its hard to sort through all the garbage to get legitimate information.

Agreed

On an unrelated tigerfish note I caught my two small silver dollars breeding in the tank last night which was a surprise haha. I might try and save some of the eggs next time if I can to see if I can raise some fry for fun.

I added two massive 9" air disks for ponds and a commercial grade air pump at the beginning of the week. There is so much aeration in the tank now its crazy. My overflow for my 1gph 24/7 drip system should be here today/tomorrow so hopefully I can finish that all off too and I will post a video update this weekend.

vatf @ 6", fatf @ 7", not that difficult to tell apart. I think what reedmaster has differs from both of these fish imo. that tail looks to be of a different structure and the coloring is awesome.

tail structure is not accurate ,as they tend to get split fins and might even heal differently

look at his video and compare to my pic of the fatf, theres a a difference in structure and color. not sure what you mean by split fins? dont see any split fins on tigers in this post. imo reedmaster has a something a little more rare.

Drip systems almost done. Ill get some more pics and a video up as soon as I finish, and get a minute to sit down and enjoy the fish haha
