Great feeding video by you both there.

These guys dart around during feeding time, what are they like during the rest of the time? Pretty active always?

Haha great video and incredible quality! That a perfect comparison between two of similar size right there. The differences in jaw structure/size, girth, and pattern are so much more noticeable being able to view them like that.

Thanks. Yea he rarely will overeat and stuff himself. Always seems to eat just the right amount to stay nimble haha.

Yea when the lights are on and I am standing right in front of the tank he is always cautious at first but relaxes shortly after and patrols the middle water area back and forth.

Heres my little guy Wolverine I have been growing out for about 6 months now to replace my old 12" goliath Hannibal I traded away. The goliath on the other hand will eat until he cant fit anymore food in his mouth & stomach if he is hungry lol.

The goliath has grown at a slow pace. He's never been fed live and there is much less current in the tank compared to the setup I used to growout my old goliath.

I would attribute the slightly slower growth rate to the reduced current, and feeding regiment. He does not eat everyday. Some days he will stuff himself and eat a lot, and others he will inspect the food and pass on eating it.

With both of the tigers I currently own I have noticed they actively look for food later in the evening after 10pm. Lights go on at 4pm daily. The Brevis will only take food later at night. When I walk in front of the tank he eagerly follows where I move and it is now very obvious when he wants fed lol.
 
How do you distinguish between VATF and BATF? i just got a little guy whom i believe is a vatf but im not sure now
