What about live black worms?

I'm gonna guess they would probably work fine. I have a small bamboo shark that is very picky and the only thing he will even eat is salmon and live worms. I have had him for almost a year now too.

I've tried salmon, didn't do anything. What time are you usually feeding him? I've tried through out the day and late at night so far.

I usually feed in the morning, simply because that's the most convenient time for me. Usually as soon as i put the worms or salmon into the water the shark will come out from under my rocks to eat. He can sense the food in the water rather quickly, I also have a larger bamboo shark that will practically eat anything i put into the tank, so it definitely depends on the individual animal. One thing is for sure, my sharks get more excited over eating live earthworms, than anything else i feed them. These animals are definitely more active at night, so if you are having trouble, night feeding is probably your best bet, I rarely ever see my sharks out during the day, they spend most of there time hiding in my live rock caves, unless I am feeding them.

What was he eating before you picked him up? Maybe go back to that? When my giraffe cat came home, I thought he would eat shrimp and fish like the RTC, and considering he was 16 inches, then, REALLY thought that's what he would eat. I was wrong. He only likes his pellets and NOTHING else. I went back to the store and asked what he was eating and they said pellets. Maybe he was eating something different too... Good luck. He's a beauty.

I do have some live rock in there. He's usually in the live rock or in the the corner of the tank. The only time I really see him swimming around is when my cat goes by the tank. I don't know what it is, but the shark goes up to the side of the glass that the cat is at and swims around. At first I thought he was scared, but if that was the case why would he stay at the same side the cats at? Kind of funny...

I'll throw some black worms in there as it gets darker outside.

I actually got him from one of my suppliers. I don't think they had him long enough to really feed him. I deal a lot with freshwater fish and stingrays and I am just starting to bring in saltwater fish. I picked him, be cause he had some thickness to him and a perfectly white stomach. Should I maybe try treating him with something?

Would garlic help with sharks, i know it gets my freshwater fish to eat.

I brought home squid today. I put a small piece on the feeder tweezers. He almost instantly grabbed it. I tried a couple more pieces but he wouldn't touch them. I left them in the tank, hopefully he'll eat them. Is it normal for them to eat only one piece and then not eat again? At least he ate something, that's a relief.

Watch the reddedned belly due to substrate, very prone to septecemia. Not uncommon for Juvi to stop eating when tranferred to new tank. Try feeding fresh shrimp from feeding stick, be patient. Once he starts eating watch out, mine ate some rather expensive tank mates from time to time. good luck
