:WHOA: :WHOA: :WHOA: FEDS!! throw it in the water and RUN for IT! :WHOA: :WHOA: :WHOA:

:ROFL::ROFL:

I remember getting that look from guys several times. Or seeing them do something and then look around, suddenly realizing they had a guv'ment guy standing behind them.

You can't run very far on a boat though. You gotta swim for it. :grinno:

Water or Prison? ...No brainer for most of the fleet...I am of course joking, but after almost 20 years on the ocean believe me I have seen it all...Like the guy who dumped 10,000.00 of illegal drugs in the water then followed them in to the drink...only because he thought the Coastguard was after him...they were on a man overboard call and went right around him...LOLOL
Captain Qualuude suddenly became his nickname...

Niiiice. I woke up one morning to two armed coasties standing in my doorway. Its a heck of a thing at 6 in the morning. The you walk up stairs and there's 4 guys in the wheelhouse with rifles :eek:. And the coast guard cruiser circling the boat about 2,000 yards out... Got grilled for about 20 minutes myself. All for a routine random inspection :screwy:.

Yeah routine alright...if they did open fire you die of lead poisoning before you hit the ground...and that 50cal on the bow of the Zodiac inflatable says alot..I swear I could see the tip of the round in the chamber...But you know they had to check our flares and flotation devices...Survival suits and EPIRB...and the manned 50 cal was for "OUR" protection...LOL against what?
Alien invasion?:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
They are a welcome sight when you are overboard and in the water, but dam that's alot of hassle when they don't have anything else to do...

The funny thing for us, was we had a coast guard training and inspection before we left dock. Then we got the "routine random inspection" on the 9th day of our trip... did they really think we were gonna get in trouble that fast??

Sorry for the derail...just hanging out waiting for more of those excellent Build Pix...

and you know...I'm still not too sure WHAT they were really doing or looking for, and they didn't have to say...Maritime law says they can, so the do!! all in the name of HomeLand security!!

I personally felt safer when they were around, as long as they didn't point the business ends of that firepower at me...

For now its holding water.

The acrylic panel is bowing a bit more than I am comfortable with but there is not much I can do about that now. How much can acrylic bow before it gives in? any ideas?
