I just have one suggestion. Your stand is basically a tray with the bottom piece of wood. Why not waterproof it and seal it so it acts like a catch tray. You never know if you have a leak in your sump or something. That way you will contain it and not have it go all over your house. Since your tank is in your living area it would be a good insurance against leaks.
Forgot to ask if you used fiberglass cloth anywhere on the tank or just epoxy? Are you worried of the tank flexing or epoxy cracking down the road?

My 650 with pondliner build has been running for 2 yrs now. Its always in the back of my mind something could go wrong lol but i guess the hobby wouldnt b fun if everything was perfect. Fingers crossed for the both of us hah. Its nice to see water in ur tankgreat build

Great project, only of you allow me to say this: Don't spoil it with those crappy body parts.....
, lol the body stuff , i got from dollar store , only a buck each , i will find better and more real one , they just to start off ,,, i didnt want to spend hunderds of dollar on stuff inside the tank till i know it wil hold water , once i get it up and runing i will do the finish stuff , i plan on haven black and red rocks and under water led lights too ,, im guessing ill have few hundered bucks if not more into it when done
Hi great build by way. I'm new to site as well, in my year of research while me and the wife save to buy a house with the view of enough space for a monster tank build. Currently run a 95G and a 110G marine and lake tanganyika tanks. But will need more space for marine so want to custom build.
id say if you haven't used the fibreglass for extra protection when you go to set up marine be careful what fish you get..Triggers for example can be very playful/aggressive mine often goes nose butting the sides and glass or bashing rocks against it. This behaviour could cause the epoxy to crack sooner and without the fibre glass protection you could not only have a slip n slide but lose an expensive stock of fish.
Also when putting in your sump although the bigger sump is better think about whether you will have space for a skimmer and UV filter. There's a lot of debat on whether you'll need a skimmer or not but it certainly aids keeping water clear.
love the red, not such a fan of the body parts but each to own on decor. Just a few points of advance as a marinist!
if you don't mind, know its bit dif In states but how much has the complete build come to?
