No the T wont determine the water level i dont think.

What WILL determine the waterlevel is the level your actual intake pipe is at.

I made mine just a couple of inches from the bottom of the elbows.

that's true for the one in the sticky, but not for this one. according to these drawings, it should be the middle of the T, but I just wanna make sure.

I'm just about to the point where I'm going to try it. I still need to move one of the XP3's to another tank before I can finish fitting everything. I hope I put the T in the right place. If not, I can fix that. I won't be able to do it tomorrow, so I'll wait until I have at least a half day so I have time to work out all the kinks and then I need to paint the overflows and let the paint cure. So, hopefully by Wed early afternoon, it will be up and running.
