Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind comments. if you have suggestions I am open too. My neighbor had a good one about adding some slate to the front of the waterfall which I think I am going to give a try. I put in some long hours the last few days and think its really shaping up.
I had ordered 5 cases of 24" the course black floor stripping pads off ebay and they showed up last night. They should be pretty good for bio and catching debris before it moves on to the strapping. The barrels are 22" diameter so they fit nice and snug. I put a stack of 5 on top of the strapping in each barrel for now.
I had my first snafu this morning. I noticed the skimmer wasn't really pulling the top water in. I quickly saw the weir door was missing. I had taken the grate that holds it in off as I installed it and not bolted it back in yet. It floats but I can't find it anywhere in the pond or yard. I was worried it got sucked down the pipe so pulled the brushes and fernco fittings to check all of the piping. Nothing. Called the company and they assured me the door can't fit into the piping. My only guess is it came loose and one of my dogs caught it and burried it somewhere in the yard.??? I have a temp one I made until I can find it or order another.
I didn't think to lower the water level in the brushes barrel before pulling them, but this is what they caught after 2 days. I gave them a few dunks and pulled pulled the drain, pretty easy.
Got a little more work done on the TT/bar.
Most of the day was spent building the perimeter along the fence. Slow tedious work on planks spanning the pond, but well worth it.
