I'd probably design it with 15mm as well, but writing something down on paper is differnent than doing it! Each pane would weigh 25% more than it already does. a 3mx0.8m chunk of 12mm glass should be heavy enough! without running the numbers I'd wager somewhere around 4-500lbs
Very nice setup there, hopefully it all holds together well.

2.5x2.5'
2x3'
3x2'
theese sizes refer to end panels
not only is that tank severly underbuilt as far as glass thickness but its one base peice and 1mm of sag in the stand at one point will cause a seveer accident. and trust me man ive heard some sick stories like a little girl getting impaled in the head by a peice of 6mm thick glass flying with 600litres pushing it through her head needless to say she died slowly and painfully.
do you know why this guy bought a 6x2x2 off someone with no tank building experience (the maker was a glazier), instead of profesionals? 35 dollars. it was built pout of 6mm thick glass and we use 10mm. needless to say thats only 6mm imagin 12mm.
heck today i neede to remove a cracked 12mm and 10mm peice of glass from a 200x80x80cm tank.10mm ends, built incorrectly had braces and thoose dudes were lucky they heard it and got the f*** outta that room
