Uhm, Chill out man, it's a discussion forum; we're discussing the design of your tank. Obviously you're not changing anything. If you just wanna post pictures and not have anyone talk about it, start a blog.

no its fine when peole talk or discuss the tank ,and im no glass expert or anything but this tank stood for 5 years as a sea tank filled up with rocks, so i think its special glass, but a friend of mine has s same tank also full glass but his is 15 mm thick,

but knowing the fact that i got this tank from a sea waterfish company, i guess ill be alright

I'm sure you'll be fine, and I'm sure you know the risks involved. I think maybe the point amehel0 was pursuing was just instilling some caution; you don't have a large factor of safety with this tank, so tankbusters might not be a good idea. For anyone dsigning a tank from scratch, well 12mm on a 500+ gal tank will work, but maybe 15mm would be better. He does have a point, I just think he was being a bit overzealous in his criticism.

No thats just amehel0, since he thinks he works for the best tank builder in the world it means he feels he knows it all about everything to do with tanks, The theroy isn't totally off ...usually... just not very tactfull in making his points.

Even with 15mm glass there is still a risk of the glass breaking as there is with ALL TANKS, just your chances of it happening has gone up.

Enjoy the Tank and all the best, Keep the pics coming!!

since basslover34 thinks he knows everything and is arrogant and obviously has a personal vandetta against me. i will tell you something

i was going by what most people who do this for a living would recomend.

and i dont want to see anyone die. and all im saying is one minute difference inbetween your stand and theres or pther things like when you put it together what type of glass you use can make one heck of a difference to the final outcome.

I'd like to admit to my deep dirty secret... I lose sleep over my "personal vendetta" against amehel0 :grinno: Seriously ??? You think you even register on my radar for a vendetta? Please!!!!

If I had a Personal vendetta against you... you'd know it ;)

I simply have a problem with your lack of class and tact in some of your posts and I will not sit back and not say anything. If you read my post you'd realize that I actually agree that thicker is better, however it's also not the ONLY way to do something in a safe mannor, Your ideals are great and totally understandable however as I mentioned... use some tact and you won't have to deal with posts such as mine.

Not that I expect to actually see the proof... since you didn't exactly show me the proof I had requested about the copyright you claim to own on the Name amehel0 but... I'd love to see the news article of this death by aqaurium explosion It would be a great refference for future threads of thin glass tanks!

Thanks
