Building my algae scrubber system

The link is dead, the picture is still showing submerged everything.. i'll have to wait till I am off work and at home to show you what it is I am seeing. It could just be my eyes.. shrug
 
well, my eyes were seeing it right. It sounds like you are trying to make a wet/dry after the algea scrubber. The problem is, it's al wet and no dry. shrug

yeah maybe ill just have the scrubber and then a sand layer...
 
You are also going to need to put a bubble trap in there right before the pump. Otherwise you are going to have microbubbles like crazy in the main tank.

oops i forgot the pump... you can guess where that goes

and the light brown is sand and the green is macro algae
 
you don't need the sand for the macro algea use something like caulerpa. this is how i have it setup on a 125.
