Bull Sharks.

That would be cool since you could potentially have it in a salt water or fresh water tank. But I would have to be rich enough to not only but the proper equipment, but to hire people to maintain it because I wouldnt want to go near a bull shark.

LOL Yeah I was thinking that it would be very cool to have a large fresh water tank or lagoon and put several species of fish in it with the bull shark, kinda making a clear water pond it would be SSSSSOOOOO cool. Another thing I kinda have always wanted to do is to put a bull shark and put it in a regular pond and see if it survives, I don't think I would ever do that cause it would probably be animal cruelty.

rephrase that I think it would be cruel to the shark to place him in a pond like that.

Blacktips you're looking at 20K+ gallons. Bulls 150K+ gallons. And yes, there is one member here who has one, but I'll let him chime in on it.

He may be slow to chime in though, he doesn't type so well ever since Fluffy got loose...

Oh and just for kicks, most bulls get to 10' - not 7'. There are several populations with females pushing between 12' and 14' now documented in around Peurto Rico.

Bulls can't live their entire life in fresh water either, they are a salt water species that is tolerant of fresh water. They still need salt water.

I am no expert but I am pretty sure I read about populations of bull sharks that live there whole lives in fresh water. It doesn't really matter though cause it would not be practical to keep one in freshwater. I think that for most people, it would be very difficult to keep in a regular marine aquarium due to the size, aggression, and not to mention the price. Your going to need a lot of Benjamins to buy and transport one of these guys. But if you can pull it off by all means go for it. Thats just my take on it.
