Bull Sharks.

You know what is pretty cool? I was watching River Monsters the other day and it turns out that the BIGGEST Bull Shark in the world was captured in freshwater SO cool it was 13 ft + female that was pregnant. He captured a few more at the same place while he was there and found that the Bull Sharks are VERY intelligent. The sharks had learned to follow fishing boats, wait for them to catch fish and then steal that catch of the fisher men!!! :O Wow man, pretty gnarly!
 
There are 14' plus bulls South of FL. There's a good population there being studied right now.

Sharks are not dumb animals by any means. I'd say they are smart beyond what most marine mammals are.
 
Heh heh heh.... So there are even BIGGER ones? Dang... Well, I must say that I'm very impressed. Bull Sharks are proving to be their monies worth. So why are they so big? Compared to the rest of their species that is.
 
Three things play major roles in shark growth.

Water - Food - Genetics

GIve a population good enough food and water conditions and slowly but surely the next generation will be progressively bigger animals.
 
OOo.... I sense a horror film in the making.
 
a part of the reason they get big is that they can go into freshwater, where there are no other sharks to compete with.
 
Go for Dogfish? (sand sharks) Unless i tottaly screwed up the name >:0 But i digress.... They only get like 4 feet max.. I think :P But i bull shark in a tank would be cool.. but who would ever go in to clean it?

I would swim with bull sharks, no problem.
 
Haha not me Id prefer Great Whites or Tiger Sharks.. :D ID enjoy those.. But i just have a large fear of bull sharks.. I would like to swim with reef sharks though
