What's up Randys Randys ,
That's a very nice and clean setup. Great plumbing and electrical work. It looks very professional. Everything looks so nice and tight. Great job Randys.

Thanks.

I just caulked around the pipe inside and outside. My house has a wood foundation so it’s like drilling through a standard 6” wall.
The basement is a walkout so the pipe came out under my deck about 2 foot below grade. You can see the white vent pipe in the picture. I still need to stain the pvc to match the house.

I used 1/4" ABS with texture on one side then glued acrylic strips to the bottom that locate it between the sump walls.
ABS seems to warp a little less than acrylic once the moisture hits it.

Well, I finally filled the tank, started the pump, did a little tuning on the drain line, and it took right off pumping 1,200 gph. And it was SILENT.

I moved the bio media from my 300 sump where I’ve been keeping it for a couple of months, added (3) bags of rinsed PFS, set the temperature, dosed a little ammonia, and cracked open a beer planning on letting it run for a couple of days before I checked the water to see if it was starting to cycle.

I was feeling real cocky about how well it turned out until this morning when I noticed that the overflow was leaking down the back of the tank de-laminating my nice new black paint.

BUMMER!
