Well said by a 16 year old from Brooklyn. Do you have any experience with any of those animals? I have been camping and woke up by a 350 lbs black bear that had no fear of humans. Thank god he didn't want to scrap with me or I probably wouldn't be typing this today. It took six of us yelling and screaming at him with maglites before he would leave the camp. Not a good night sleep after that.
and props to the commish for that beautiful cat. Not my style but if he likes it great for him.
Clearly my age and location makes me a total doorknob to anything related to this topic, and I apologize to all who had to read my post, and I hope I didnt lower the collective IQ of the site by doing so.
Rougue animals and aggressive animals are a different story. If it's a matter of kill or be killed, then sure, survival is above all else. If my neck was in danger from an animal and I had the means to fend it off to survive, I would do it. I'd feel bad if it resulted in the death of the animal, but I'd do it to save my own, or someone else's, life. But trophy hunting for keystone predators just seems like something we should have evolved past by no.
