Not to many, it's mainly gill flaring as you can see the fish aren't in bad condition. The little guy in photo 8 is a cutteri, if you look in photos 4,5 you can see him in the background, gives you an idea just how small he is.

Thats the 10th photo, I think. I meant the one two up from that, the large greenish fish with the black belly.

Yer i want to know about this fish as well please looks so nice does it stay that colour? .
Thanks

Thought that might be what it was, don't see too many pearsei around here. If I did I'd get one. As for classification life was so much easier when they were all cichlasoma :) I've seen it labeled Hericthys, Thoricthys, and Vieja so who knows?

Nice fish either way, and what a gorgeous tank. Love those big Viejas.

That's an exCichlasoma pearsei.

Couldn't tell you what the Genus is at the moment, still might be 'unclassified'.

Pearsii has been moved around from Genus to Genus exCichlisoma, Herichthys and who knows what it will end up, some say Paratheraps/Vieja.

Nutty the tank is spectacular as usual.

Indeed. Personally I think it was right at home as a member of Herichthys.

Yes the pearsei is one of my favourites, its very simular to bocourti but green. Like some of the guys say it's very hard to classify what genus it belongs to. Although very simular in shape and size to Vieja/Paratheraps IMO they don't quite fit their profile, it's a difficult one.

This is the male nigaraguense that i introduced recently. He's a little smaller at 6"TL, while the female is around 7"TL. they're have been busy in one of the caves the last couple of days, so fingers crossed.:)

still loving this amazing tank nutty!!!!!
so oak eh is that taken straight from the tree to tank?
i have a fricken huge oak tree thats got to be lopped back for summer and was wondring if i could use the wood in my tank??

you can use that wood from your tank but it can't go directly from tree to tank. there are some preparation steps you'd need to take so if you want, start a separate thread on it cause we don't wanna derail this thread...but yeah you'll get the info you need to have some awesome looking wood in your tank. :)

Wow, love the lay-out and the rock on the back wall very very nice.
