hey i wanna take some really nice pics of my fish...ive had digital camereas but its time to step it up....what cameras do you guys use to get such nice photos.....i know you need certain lenses and stuff...so if you can post some of your pics so i can see how good the pics from the camera are thanks for your help....

bump....no one uses a good camera?hahaha

Aquatic photo forum rocks. But you don't need an allstar camera to do it, just check out the tips. Works great for all cameras

OKAY ILL HAVE TO ADD PICS IN A BIT CAUSE THEIR NOT UPLOADING!!!!!

I just bought a Nikon D40 kit for 419.00 which comes with the lens and everything you need. I find it the perfect beginner dslr camera. Alot of people will say to go with the d60 or 90 but for me it was budget and because i was beginner i thought it was the best deal. here are a couple pics, ive only had the camera for almost a month so all these pictures are preety much point and shoot right out of the box cause im still learning alot of the settings. I added a close up of my daughters befferonni face too, the quality is so nice.

P.S. Alot of people say to that there isnt alot of lens chocies for the D40 thats why you should go with a higher model, which i will say because i am so hooked with photography i can see my myself upgrading eventually. So if youre so hooked onto photography as i am then id go for the higher models aswell.

thanks for the pics.....i have heard many good things about the nikon d models

It's not the camera that takes the great picture it's the the person behind it. It's like asking a chief what pots/knives he uses and telling him they can make a great dinner.

Search for member CDM and take a look at his pix. He uses a entry level Prosumer Canon 40D, same one I have, his shots are amazing, while mine look ok.

These pics aren't fish but a couple of my better pix shot in Jpeg, not RAW and just resized. Just started shooting in RAW about 6 months ago.
