Ill pick 20-40 mesh or the 12-40 mesh, 12-40 mesh will have bigger grith but not too big that will become a problem to your polys. 20-40 is the same stuff that as 36g that Hao using on his 270g.

Yea I guess in the broad scheme of it it is the bags just don't say sand it said fine gravel I would call it sand the topfin folks call it gravel

Substrate makes a big difference with lower jaws. I have some before and after pics of my group when i changed the substrate and its night and day. I think we did a substrate thread a while back. I'll try and dig it up
