nope apparently not link me

I just did a search, typed in : "stable unstable".

159 informative threads came up.... good references.

you guys are right does depend on tank size, when in a larger tank comoared to a small one water changes will make huge difference. But overall lil dats are very sensative to change

idk i have a 55gal with 5 indo dats...i feed black worms and blood worms...i do a 75% wc every week...i have hydroponics with it and alot of plants inside...i have bright lights on the tank average 12-16hrs a day...they are growing and doing well...they are 2" or so...

i think a few dats help a lot i have had 1 dat by his self and he was more stable when he was with 5 other ones

recently learn from a buddy that ST comes from brackish water of mekong river in thailand. he recommend that i add some salt into my tank. after a week, my IT is in full blown glory. i'm not saying that it's a sure fire method...it works for me. adjust the salinity. cheers!

No offence, but your buddys wrong. Where's the proof?
In all research, publications, articles etc, at no point has any reference been made to ST being brackish, EVER...(sounds rubbish to me)

The only reason why your tiger is in "Full blown glory" is cause it's adjusting to the level of salinity that u have now put it in. Let's see how it looks after a few weeks.

IT, ST and NTT are fresh water fish. Ur advice for others to adjust salinity is misleading.

Sorry Des, I dont have the links or references for you (wasnt trying to offend either;).

But if you did a Poll, ST & IT - a brackish or FW fish?,
you would get 2 votes (u and your firend)
It would be the same if the poll was who keeps ST or IT in Brakish?

Is your water now brackish or did u just add salt as one off?
