Can any one shed some light on keeping datnoids stable?

I think there's a certain point of no return. If the fish has endured great amounts of stress for a sustained period of time they'll never be stable. So its a point not to buy unstable dats and then complain there not stable.

When I bought my last 10 I told the person getting the fish to only pick from the fish at the glass. The ones hiding behind rocks and up in the corners near the filter are the unstable ones. Out of the 30 there I went back to see if they had more. Fish are still unstable with a less crowded tank. There set in their ways.

For all the people that are going to post a story about the exact opposite theirs always an exception to the rule.
