Ok, so it isn't a monster tank, but my only one at the moment. I have a 55g set up in progress. I have a 30g sump I built for a SW set up that I had to give up. Not planning on setting up another SW for quite sometime, and I figured I took the time to make this sump I really don't want it to just sit there. Sooooo, I figure why not use it for my tank I have now.

Anyway, I need help with how to set it up, I was told by someone I should maybe remove some of my "baffles" the only pics I have (since I'm using my Moms computer now) are at AC so I'll post a link to the thread and hopefully it will work and you can see what I have exactly.

I know I need a return pump and am toying with the thought of just DIYing it. I need to know what to do to make the water go to the sump (since I wont be using the protein skimmer) and then about the return pump and then I know I need bio-balls, sponges, floss whatever in the sump itself.

Anyway here is the link to what I have it is pretty long, so you may just want to skip to the last page or so where the pics are.

Thanks in advance everyone!!!:D

You'll save a ton of money if you go with pot scrubbers instead of bioballs. If you use a CPR style overflow, be sure to get an aqualifter with it.

See, when this was going to be for my SW tank this is the overflow box I was looking at and I was going to get a mag7 or 5 for it. I was looking at the first one on there..the single prefilter box.

The link you provided...that would be better then right?

Ummm, Rally what does CPR mean?

Oh, something I just thought about...when I got the skimmer, I had to get a RIO 800 for it. Would that work on the FW tank for anything? Could I use it for the overflow or pump?

I'm not sure...on the box it says, Aqua Pump/Powerhead it just says that it has High flow rate?

Oh...I found a "chart" thing in the instructions, if I am reading it correctly it says the 800 is 100 gal/hour
