Can anyone identify these 2 chichlids ?

first fish is not a JD. More likely a thorichthys of some kind. Second is definately an ex-cichlasoma grammodes. very nice fish btw

Agreed with quoted post above. The second fish is 100% Excichlasoma grammodes. I just orderd one

**UPDATE** Thank you for all the input! Also I'd like to inform you all that these 2 fish just spawned! I wonder what the fry are going to look like when they develop!

The one on the top is pretty aggressive but the one on the bottom is crazy aggresive - it killed a flowerhorn 4 times the size of it. I have no idea what kind of chichlids either of these are. I picked them up at a local place and they didnt have any labels lol

Please help me identify them!

correct me if im wrong but arent all these pictures of 'amphilophus robertsoni' or am i just misinformed on the genus of the fish?

It's been changed to Astatheros.

I can't believe people are still trying to argue that the second fish in the first post is a dovii. This is one of the worst ID threads I've ever seen.

Yea I know for sure its definetly NOT a Dovii
#1 It simply does not look like a Dovii
#2 When I went there I was looking for Dovii's and I asked the owner and he said that theres none in yet, he only had some fry from a very recent spawn

But im glad these 2 fish actually started to spawn, Im wondering what their offspring will look like. It should be interesting!

the first one looks like a Geo Brasiliensis.. a texas has a bit more spots, very nice fish btw.
