Can i feed poultry to aro and dat???

Sure the eat birds but that is not a staple food for them

Yeah, I just use cichlid gold. Foodsticks are overpriced, and I can't get them locally anyway (lfs around here don't have any foods for larger fish other than cichlid gold and cichlid staple).

over feeding a 3' fish...have you even seen a 3' fish?...or a 2'+ aro and it's ablity to eat? you have to account the fact that a 2' aro eats atleast 3x as much as a 12-15" aro...
 
yeah fishing would work just make sure it doesn't come from some nasty polluted lake or river or whatever

To be honest i didnt mean to take a personal punch at you when i said that i just think 2 bags of food is a very large amount for that fish to eat but it all depends on what size bag we are talking about. I dont want to turn this into an argument

My 2'er gets about half a bag of cichlid gold per week, and it isn't exactly skinny. I would guess that the amount of food an aro will eat just depends on how much and how often you usually feed it.

i am not fighting...i just wanted you to see that the fact of the size of a large preds appite and stomach is much larger then you think...you will see this when your aro is bigger...

i would say you are under feeding your aro:grinno:...i feed my fish every day to 2 days at the most...i know of an aro that was 6yrs old and over 2.5' atleast that ate 2.5 bags of food sticks every 2 days and it was a beast...
 
personally im raising a small guppy farm in a 5 G whoes offspring will be used as food while the fish are small you buy 3-5 males 8 to 12 females in no time unlimited resource at a pretty good price and you can do it with less fish i put the numbers since its 16in+ fish
 
this is why i was saying these threads get closed so fast as it hasn't even been up for any amount of time and it is already hard core derailed
