will a full grown butti cichlid be fine in a 75 gallon? it would be by itself/ oh and im aware there not a ca or sa cichlid i just see them talked about in here the most :)) i just wanted one cause i heard they have good personalities or more so interesting reactive personalities haah but if not one of these could i get other reccomendations for a solo fish for a 55 or 75?

up to a 12 inch fish. on the aggressive side. I think he do fine alone in a 75g.

ya thats what i was thinking thanks for reply might just pick one up to put in a 55 gallon to grow a bit til i move and can setup the 75 aha

They are massive growing. They get thick and have much more bulk than most cichlids.

I agree, the bigger tank would be better. If you start him small, then you will grow attached.maybe hard to see him eventually get to a few pounds,in the 75.he would looked cramped IMO

I personally wouldn't do any less than a 5 foot long, 20 inch wide tank 120ish gallon for a single Butti; they get ginormous
