Can I keep this fish in a 200gal tank?

This thread has been very informative, but I disagree with putting it in a 10 gallon. If you assume that it needs at least 4 inches of water, then a 10 gallon tank will be 2ft x 2ft, which is probably too small. For this ray's well-being, it needs a tank at least 4ft x 4ft x 4 inches = 40 Gallons.
As long as you give it plenty of food and add the proper chemicals every week and keep the water topped-up, you should be alright in a 40 gallon... but it would be happier in a 75gal (if you can afford it).

i could cut all this sarcasm with a knife...or maybe use it as filter media for the ray :D

No, it will be fine, fish only grow to the size of the tank, like the paroon shark in my 1/2 gallon bowl. If it starts out too big, then don't worry, it will get smaller after it realizes it is in a 10 gallon tank.

custom built tank 10 foot by 10.75 foot by .25 foot is the 206 gallon tank that will work fine for that guy with a little topfin 10 filter :D

Okay, I think my sarcasm detector must be broken, too, because that doesn't sound like sarcasm to me...
