Damn their must be some starving mofo on mfk! Could water conditioners be that bad?fish don't die from it!also could it be worse than what's in our ponds, lakes, rivers & streams? Or worse than what they put in your drinking water to begin with? I think you'd be surprised what people would eat if they had to. Hunger is isn't nice, & neither would you be if you were starving.there's mercury in every fish that we eat, its toxic but we still eat it.that's why they say don't eat fish more than once a week. I've seen people eat oscar fillets n loved them.they're still alive n fine.

It will def not KILL you, but I know people that have done it with not so pleasant results.

If purification doesnt hurt your fish, it wont hurt you. Pretty much all chemicals and contaminants would burn off around 200degrees.
If it came down to it, im sure you could, but it wouldnt be the healthiest fish youve ever ate. I can probably almost gaurantee they dont let fish go to waste in thailand and similar countries, anyone agree?

I'm also wondering what makes water conditioner so bad... The fish live in it their whole lives and, if your fish eats other fish, those fish have also lived in water treated with water conditioner, right?

On the topic of me actually eating them, I wouldn't. I eat fish (and my fish eats fish), but I wouldn't eat a PET fish. Perhaps if I kept some for that express purpose I might, but that's a big unknown.

Cooking will not denature all pollutants.

Eating your nitrate-loaded, kibble fed pets is a retarded concept. It would be like eating a chicken that just spent a week soaking in fertilizer while eating white bread.

That's pretty much how most farm-raised animals are kept, anyway. That's why anyone can go down to the supermarket and buy a whole chicken for $4.

I'd figure a tank-raised fish would be much better for you than a farm-raised fish... assuming you cared for them well. Though, I doubt it would be cost effective.

Didnt man vs. wild with Bear Grylls teach you guys anything? :headbang2 haha

Yes, he taught us how to trick the public into thinking he's living hardcore in the wild while he and his camera crew are really being pampered in luxury back at the resort. What a loser.

Btw, I just sent Seachem Corp an email asking if their product Prime water conditioner makes fish toxic for human consumption. Let's see if they reply.

Fish and humans are dif enough that we cant assume we would get sick or not get sick from the same things. There are many mammals (much more closely related to people than fish) that can be carriers of diseases deadly to humans without getting sick themselves. With chemicals the lethal dose for a fish and human may be drastically dif even if the guy/gal & fish weighed the same.
