Would 3 Eheim 2217's @ 264GPH be alright? I'm planning on a Tigrinus, a dat or two, 3 discus, possibly a smaller ray, and maybe a silver arowana. It isn't going to be heavily stocked.

In that case I would save money and just run 2 aquaclear 110s How big is the tank?

I'm shooting for a 180g. Actually, I think 2 Eheim 2217's would be enough. I plan on vacuuming the gravel every other week and doing partial water changes the other two weeks. Sounds good, no?

I'm running a pair of Ehein 2028's myself right now. VERY nice filters. Pricey, but they do a helluva good job.

W/D's ar eanything but a pain in the ass. They can hold a tremendous bioload, easy to clean, adaptable, and do not need any type of crazy priming. I have Eheims, fluvals, Magnums, but W/D remain my favorite.

I'm just curious but does anyone still use trickle trays?
