First of all it’s a total hoax, because why would anyone stand so far from the water for their initial cast?
I guess this guy has a snag, he’s gonna feel stupid when he loses his gear, and so he’s trying to make something out of it here with a practical joke.
Nevertheless, here’s my entry…
