i was looking for something with more oomph in terms of power and possibly luxury. in terms of modding cars, it's gonna take a lot to get more potential out of a stock is300 i.e. turbo etc. the header, intake and exhaust thing doesn't get you much in my opinion...
plus i like trying new rides :) so it's not that i don't like the is300 (definitely zippy) but just wanted to see what else is out there.

The is300 is a great car. Stock it comes with the non-turbo 2jz and the last time I check you can get a twin turbo 2jz for about 2500-3500. Easy swap considering there would be modifications needed to fit it in your car. All that would be needed is an intercooler and exhaust. The twin turbo 2jz swaps usually come with the factory ecu which would be a lot better then trying to run the non-turbo ecu with boost. Stock 2jz's have been proven to hold over 800hp without internal mods. Just increase your fuel supply and crank that boost up.

Ever considered a Mini Cooper? They're not rwd, but they're a lot of fun to drive! It's impossible to drive one without smiling.

Yeah,he made the post suggesting them but did not offer any examples.I have been into Pontiacs for the past few years,Grand Prix and SSEI Bonnevilles particularly and I may look into the GTO or the Caddy CTS.Just wondering what he had in mind though.

I'd go Audi. many of their pretty high end models are within reach now.. I don't know, in my opinion the TT is a car that you have to have your dad buy for you if your'e from a classy suburb or be a girl to drive.. but maybe it rings your bell?

There are good deals on the CTS but the V is like a four door Vette and I never see any used ones for sale but I'm sure they would be quite high in price.I've had a GM car since 97 and would like to try something else but like you said, the CTS is nice,I dont need the V.It costs more money but I really like the Challenger too, although I was never a big Chrysler fan.
