Cat toys and cichla

yeah I noticed it too, there was a fly in my basement one night and I have my 220/125 opposite eachother, anyways the fly would fly between the tanks and all of the cichla would zoom from one side to the other trying to chase it. I'm gonna try the aluminum foil trick tonight when I feed them.
 
just about anything. Something bright and zoom it around the front of the tank.
 
My bass go crazy sometimes trying to eat a fly or moth buzzing around infront of the tank.

Sometimes its only a tiny little moth, they must have very good eyesight!
 
Yeah same thing happended to me too. A fly started buzzing in front of my tank and the pbass started going crazy and splashing water all over the place over this little fly.
 
My kids have those nerf guns with the little orange darts and my monos would go absolutely crazy when the darts would fly around.
 
tried a laser pointer....that sure got them all excited :D
 
Empty Zig Zag Papers (Orange Packs) is what my cichla get to play with. These most resemble feeders. Also if you haven't tried there eye site is amazing. We throw packs to the oter side of the room and they take off after it like there going to get it. ;)
