Catching juvenile bowfin?

Thanks. Do y'all think a minnow trap could get one? I have a cast net and small dip net too. I think I will try a small minnow on a hook casted into a pool next to an overhanging tree with an undercut bank. I've caught several small flatheads there

Thanks. I wil try using my cast net too. The dipnet is too small to just randomly scoop and catch anything. I'll bring it just In case I spot one swimming around.

I'm Gunna try. It has a 1 inch diameter, so I dont know if it can catch the size I'm after. It can't be too small or my Redfin will eat it and it can't be too big because it will be in a 60 gallon for a month and a half.
