oldie but goodie, any new stories to share.

My larger cat's tend to be in bare bottom tank's, so there isn't to much moving around of things.
But they do have a tendency to eat large unfamiliar food item's.
My large albino channel cat ate a round piece of a veg. clip. I'm not sure which side it came back out, but I got it a couple day's later.
My large rtc ate a large piece of his canister filter, had to have it removed by a veternarian.

One of my RTC's ate a possum that tried to drink from the pond.
Splash ! ... and it was gone.
LOL i missed this one before! i always make jokes to my sister that her little chihuawa is gona get eaten one day. i guess there is substance behind the joke :s

I keep 4" diameter curved pipe couplings in the tank for my 22-24" fire eels, which they love to 'snooze' in. My 17" giraffe cat, Bernard, loves to redecorate, and uses his nose as a wedge and completely flip over whatever he pleases. This sometimes includes those large pipes containing a fire eel who ends up going for a ride, getting flipped onto his back (these guys aren't so agile on uprighting themselves when they can't straighten out), and facing the opposite direction. .

With my 25" and 17" TSNs, 23" RTCxTSN, 17" giraffe cat, and 19" and 22" niger catfish, I dont bother actually decorating my tank. I throw driftwood in and assume it to be play toys and territories to be built. I thought about polishing out the scratches on my 'new' 600 acrylic tank, but thought better of it when I considered the fact the my bulldozers will just end up throwing the driftwood into it and scratching it up.

my baby tsns seem to think there is some food or something in the intake of my fx5, cause they constantly scrape their noses on it after "attacking" it...i haven't seen what they see that is eddible on or in it, but they see it...silly kitties

Sound's like you got quite a nice pack of cat's. Can't wait to see them in the 600g. That would be comical to see the fire eel's going whoa!:WHOA: Do you have to feed them by hand with all those cat's?

Hmmm. I don't know what to tell you. My fish usually stay away from the intakes....Big vacuum, scary. LOL
