Yeah I really like the top picture above of the Chrysichthys ornatus....the pim looks nice too though...I have always liked the look of flatheads and channel cats...think thats why I like the sun cats too. Do suncats prefer to be with another suncat? Just curious if I could get a couple sun cats and a Chrysichthys ornatus...I'm thinking that may be pushing it though but curious what you guys think.

or would 2 or 3 ornate be ok together? Wasn't sure how aggressive they are to each other if at all.

Thanks for everyones input and help too! Appreciate it!
my suncat doesn't like other suncats or anything in is way for that matter

hye every buddy actually i have question on catfish movie .

1. Why is Yaniv "Nev" Schulman drawn to the "facebook family" and to Megan in particular?

2. Do Ariel Schulman (Nev's Brother) and Henery Joost deserve any blame for what happens? Why or why not?

3. What is your opinion of Angela Pierce? Do you find her to be at all sympathetic by the end of the film? Why or why not?

- I missed the film in class and I can't find it anywhere to rent. I read up on it and I did the questions. I just want to make sure I've got somewhat of the right answers. THANKS!

Actually, how many could I keep in the tank i'm planning on getting? Looking at them a little bit closer...they seem like cool cats...the only issue would be tank mates lol...planning on keeping a couple oscars too.
they will eat oscars they get 14in. and are quite pricey

Really like the looks of the Vulture cat! Gonna add that to the list of cats i'm interested in!

Now assuming I go with a 120"x48"x 30" tank what are some other cats I could consider with the size increase over what I was originally planning?
now this IMHO would be marvel to look at in that size of a tank
2 vultures (if possible)
1 giraffe
1 oxydoras niger
1 giant Raphael cat
1 achara catfish
and maybe a couple others i'm leaving out :P

Thanks for the suggestions and help...I'm gonna have to check some of them out more that you mentioned...I do really like the looks and personality of the Vulture cats...puttin that higher up on the list! The worst part is gonna be waiting to get everything setup! :D

Ok so how would this work out?

-2 Tiger Oscars
-2 vulture catfish
-2 Sun catfish
-possibly 1 or 2 Chrysichthys ornatus if I can find them

Any other suggestions are welcome...also would the cats I listed be too much bottom activity or would that work out?

Gulpers=incompatible with others
Vulture cats should be avoided as they have a teeth arrangement that allows them to snatch lumps out of other fish.
How about any from this list-
lima shovel nose (go multiple).
Almost any of the synodontis.
Pim ornatus/blochi.
chrisichthys ornatus.
sturio shovel nose.
hemisorubim platyrhinchos.
When considering size take into account barbel length.
It would be a good idea to decide what you want in terms of decor as you will need plenty of hiding places and they will need to be constructed solidly eg construct stone caves using silicone or wood arrangements secured with cable ties or plastic screws.
You should be able to accomodate a few cats especially if you have stuff like limas in there as they dont sit on the bottom.

I have my vulture cat with plenty of other fish with no problems. They are perfectly fine as long as they aren't a lot bigger than the fish. Just don't keep them with rays

What about sun cats? Are they more on the shy side? Also what is the max size on them...some sites say 10" and others 18"...I like how they look...kind of like a channel catfish which I would love to have but definitely wouldn't have the room with the tank I'm getting.

I have a sun cat myself, I wouldn't call him shy but I wouldn't call him social either. Hes really funny though. He swims to the top and eats a few pellets when I feed my Oscars, some times of the week he will "school" with my Oscar, quite interesting lol reminds me of the little sucker fish that you find on sharks
