Caught These In Lake

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I guess thats true, I have never shipped a live fish before. I have received them a few times though and it doesn't look very complicated.

no its not. 1/4 water to 3/4 oxygen. unless its a air breather then dont use oxygen just air.

i think that could be a very viable business - catch introduced species and sell off to genuine hobbyists who would pay big bucks for semi wild fish that have had the benefit of life in the 'wild'.
i think it is a win win situation all around.

I actually have been in contact with another member here and he is going to come and catch them for his collection. I caught those three in a matter of a half hour, in the exact same spot. I am seriously gonna consider that Ewok.

How much does it cost to ship a large male Jag, say to Washington???

O.K.....What is the time limit a person has to "catch" a fish then put said fish in home aquarium, and then re release it back into the wild? I thought this is the exact type of thing that "we" SHOULD be 100% non supportive of, and further more 22,500 other members might think that this is an excepted practice. IMHO it is not. I don't want to get bashed myself either though for "stepping" out of the crowd on this one......But "I" don't like this one touch! And NEVER EVER EVER DO THIS! <<<Thats just me though. Sorry guys :(

So no one has an issue with catch and re release? Hmmmmmmmmmmm! Well I still say If you don't have the room and didn't want to kill them. You had no right to be fishing them in the first place. We can only hope you did not just release ICH in the wild among other negative ramifications. Don't do this anymore please. This is no different than releasing any other fish to the wild! I was just on the native forum the other day and a person got thrashed for releasing NATIVES back after being put in a home aquarium. It's funny the things that go untouched, and the things that get focused on to make members look bad, I'm touching this one! BAD IDEA SAYS ME (and everyone else should tell you a better way but instead all I see is "cool, nice, hows the fighting, they look bigger than 10", you used hot dogs, .....blah blah blah. Come on guys wake up.

You really shouldn't release fish if they have been in a tank.

:iagree: Thanks E-wurm. I only got long winded in hopes my post could rival the op. No love lost here just spreading the "good" word....lol
