its always been easy gettig off live for me.
the lfs constantly feed live.
i never offer live from the time i got them.
they started eating pellets and stuff in an hour.
but i do give a feeders treat once in a while.
(not my choice,some of my other fish are too dumb to grab a feeder before its goes down to the bichirs....ignay on the nandus ay.)

Tis that time of the month again! Happy New Year's to all!

Got all three babies onto market shrimp, I'm pleased to say.

We're going to powerfeed this month - I'm shooting for another 1 1/2 for Starvin Marvin and Hunter, and honestly I'd be happy with just 1/2 for Fatass. As they grow they've gotten a lot easier to differentiate between. Starvin Marvin is much lighter and has 4 "stripes", while Hunter is darker and has 5. And well, Fatass is, well, fat.

Tis that time of month -

The babies didn't do a whole lot this month, which really disappointed me. Pretty much they just ate, $hit, n swam.... n didn't really grow. MAYBE 1/2'' a piece, if that.

Might start risking it a bit more and moving them back to feeders - that's how Gustavo went from 2'' to 12'' in 6 months, so maybe... I jus donno.

I seem to get better growth when polyp's are eating live. Try earthworms and feeders along with the market shrimp and pellets.

looking real nice .. i like fatass ... he seems to grow more girth than length ... likely a SB .. if they are already on market shrimp, i'll keep them there .. also try beef hearts .. feeders seem troublesome to me ..

Only one of them (I think Hunter) is the only one who will eat chopped earthworm. They ignore pellets thus far, but they all love their shrimp. They're good little fish, and I like watching them grow. I was tryin to think back to Gustavo, who is also CB. It seems to me he had crappy growth from 2'' to 4'' or 5'', then he took off and grew so much it was ridiculous. He still has the biggest appetite out of my 30 or so bichirs too, so maybe these guys haven't quite hit that grow-time yet. Anyway, only time will tell

I was curious - I have another fish coming at some point, another baby endli. Infinite owes me one and whenever they come in stock he'll send it to me. Think I should take his pictures and put them in this thread too?
