He looks great! I'm sure he will do very well for you! At least throw some small schooling fish in there for some extra color and movement! I liked having giant danios and different small barbs in with my guy.
I kept bait shiners in with the FRTs. The turts eventually ran them down and ate them. Funny thing is that some of the shiners avoided the turts long enough to spawn in the tanks. There were several occasions where I saw 1/4-1/2" shiners darting around the tanks. The FRTs ignored the young until they were around an inch or so long.
