Hey, right im very confused after a quick trip to get some bloodworm at the lfs, (Friday treat), I told them i was keeping my channa at 20 as it is subtropical, they then got all upset at me, saying i should keep him at 25 as then he'll be much happier as even if wild channa pulchra "supposedly" live in cooler waters, he is captive bred and so used to tropical temps. Theyre telling me to increase the temp. What should I do?

Put a thermometer in the tank last night.... Realised to my horror it read 15 degrees..... After bit of investigation, discovered id forgotten to plug the heater back in after unplugging for maintenance about a week and a half - two weeks ago..... No wonder he's been lethargic.... Temp back up at 21, now dashing all round the tank, charging and flaring at me and going for the fingers(that were just out of the tank) rather than the pellet i had just dropped in. Think i had a very lucky escape then :-/
