charcoal or propane grill?

Allvol- i have that exact same grill and i love it. I will never go back to using a gas grill. I always use kingford mesquite charcoal and it is amazing

Propane is for amateurs. Charcoal it true grilling. I have a natural gas setup along with a charcoal backup for the slow rib cookin.

This past weekend, I used my charcoal grill for just the second time. I slow cooked some ribs over about 6.5 hours. I used rib rub, and then I basted them with bbq sauce over the last hour.

The result was a flavor explosion

I am officially converted from propane, and I can't wait to buy more ribs this weekend

Never had a gas grill... Always go low and slow with hardwood on the Texas style smoker...... Texas BBQ is the BEST!!!!

bigspizz, they weren't the most tender though. I need to try to go even longer as you advise next time to try and make 'em more tender.
