I'm curiouse as to what was done to the fish afterwards.. from what I'm aware.. they destroy this "endangered fish" That is potentially as invasive as a snakehead?...

Asian Arowanas would not be endangered anymore if they were legalize in the U.S. All the hobbyist would breed the heck out of them. More fish, lower prices. Makes sense to me.

It's no secret that MFK has agents as registered members. We've never kept that secret. In fact, we've made a point of reminding members of that fact. And, of the fact that, if asked officially, the site WILL provide information concerning members for use in investigations.

However I still stand firmly by my point. We don't need Fish & Wildlife Agents wasting tax dollars for this stuff. This country has far larger problems and this is how money is spent. It sickens me.

It's not like we haven't seen the media blow things out of porportion before. The DA probably isn't looking at anything close to the sentence the media is stating. And, as far as crime priorities, ...the department I used to work for had people finishing large 'projects' that utilized a large number of staff. When reassignments are made, not all of the staff may be needed on the next big 'project' so, some members are assigned to lesser 'projects' and any 'outstanding-status' cleanup assignments. And, considering the number of bureaus, offices, and agents, it's easy to realize that not every agent will get to work on the big headline items. Sometimes, personnel files get padded up by investigating and solving alot of minor cases.

Agent seniority plays a huge part in determining the cases that get solved (since we never see the cases that are pending or being worked on. -this isn't TV after all). A slew of rookie agents looking to build reputations will cut their teeth on cases such as this. Who knows how many cases are investigated to dead ends before we see something like this in the media?
The gist of the reality is that they are watching, They're watching us. And, the fact that nothing's been done doesn't preclude the fact that information left on sites such as this are being collected and compiled for observation, statistical analysis, case building, etc. The spark to act on any information left on the internet can be as minor as the need for a rookie agent to build his/her reputation for future advancement opportunities within their individual bureau.
