What are you feeding them? Check the label, if it contains copper, change to somehting that does not. Adult shrimp can handel the copper, but eggs and fry can not. Ken

WRONG!!!

As with all aquatic invertebrates it is important to make sure copper does not get into the aquarium. Copper is toxic to all Dwarf Shrimp. Many medications and fertilizers contain elevated levels of copper, so it is recommended not to medicate or fertilize an aquarium with Dwarf Shrimp in it.

Secondly, Red Cherry Shrimp (RCS) prefer PH levels between 6.5 and 7.6. They can survive in 6.0 - 8.0 but will not likely breed successfully above 7.6. Your water is just a wee bit hard I am guessing. Try lowering your PH, make sure you are not adding copper in any form and go from there.

You might try peat rinsing with your water changes. Have some pretreated water in a barrel for your water changes. A lot of people use air stone and peat in barrels to precondition water for soft water species.

Mine are fine in a little warmer water and are always berried. 82-83 degrees.
I currenlty count more than the 20 I started with.

WRONG my RCS breed at 7.8 PH

No they arent snail eggs I know the difference in the two. These are definitely shrimp eggs. They dont seem to go to the shrimps tail when they are saddled. They just wind up on the ground.

No, I know the snail eggs are clear and have jelly around them. The eggs are definitely shrimp eggs. Ive only heard that shrimp will drop eggs if stressed or inexperienced (1st time mother). But these keeps occuring. So I dont know whats going on.
